Check out this trailer. This is along the lines of Blair Witch Project, only this is suppose to be way scarier. Check out the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
No Castro Halloween this year…for real.

Saw this article in Forbes with the strangest homes on the market. The one that is truly ridonc is the bat cave.
You’d be lucky to get a peek at the inside–or even outside–of this cliff-side looker. That’s because the angular, jutting estate is almost completely hidden from the road by its mountainous surrounds, and, like Bruce Wayne’s secret lair, getting inside entails driving through a hidden tunnel and ascending into the home–car and all–on a hydraulic lift.
See it here.

MASTER PLAN DESIGN UPDATE
At the Potrero Boosters Neighborhood Association Monthly Meeting
Come review the preferred site plan based on feedback from the focus groups and the May
2nd Design Open House.
When: Tuesday, October 27, 2009
7 pm to 9 pm
Where: Potrero Hill Neighborhood House
953 De Haro Street
Rebuild Potrero presentation is tentatively scheduled for 8 pm after Q&A with
Supervisor Sophie Maxwell.
Jay’s Deli in Potrero Hill is shuttered, no word as to whether it will reopen or not. You’ll remember that this was the old Klein’s Deli location.
Also, Eliza’s in Potrero Hill closed, which is a bummer. They still have another location, but this one is closed, being replaced by a new Mediterranean restaurant. So no Chinese in Potrero for the most part.
Osha Thai is coming to 3rd and Townsend. Yeah!
Busy day today. We are hosting a booth at the Fiesta on the Hill and I’ll be doing an open house from 2-4.
The Shagley team is sponsoring a booth at the Bernal Heights Fiesta on the Hill. The event is one of San Francisco’s top annual city events with over 15,000 people and is on Sunday, October 18th on Cortland St. Visit the site for more information.
100% of profits from Fiesta go to the programs and services of the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center.

I have looked at all the city calendars and found them to be confusing. The ongoing stuff like walking tours clutter it up so you can’t see the big events easily. I thought, wouldn’t it be useful to have one that just shows by month, by week what goes on in San Francisco on an annual basis. I have my first draft. I will be adding more detail over the next few weeks. There is a lot more going on in December than I have, but I ran out of steam a little bit near the end. One thing for sure, as expected October and September seem to be the busiest months in San Francisco. And San Franciscans know why. Check it out.
This is a cool new service I just found called walkshed.org. It allows you to put in an address and see how far coffee shops, restaurants, farmer’s markets, and other things are from the address you put in. Right now only for Philly. Check it out.
